Timing runs

How does FastR time a run?

FastR uses your iPhone's GPS and motion sensors. When the lights go green, it watches for launch, then measures speed and distance until you reach the target: 60 mph, the quarter mile, a rally distance or your top speed over a set distance.

How do I get the most accurate times?

Mount your phone firmly so it can't slide or tip.
Run under open sky. Tall buildings, trees and covered areas weaken GPS.
Wait a few seconds after opening the run screen so GPS can settle before you launch.
Run on flat ground. Hills change your times.

Where am I allowed to run?

Only on a track, drag strip or closed private road where that driving is legal. Never on a public road. Set the run up while you're stopped, and don't touch your phone while driving. See our Terms of Use.

A run was saved wrong. Can I remove it?

Yes. Open the post and use the ••• menu to delete it. If you think the timing itself was wrong, email us the car, the time and roughly when you ran it, and we'll look into it.

Your account

How do I delete my account?

Open your profile and tap Settings.
Tap Account, then Delete Account.
Confirm. Your profile, cars, posts, photos and runs are deleted permanently.

I can't sign in.

FastR uses Sign in with Apple or Google. Make sure you choose the same one you signed up with. If you hid your email with Apple, signing in with Google creates a separate account. Still stuck? Email us with the sign-in method you used.

How do I change my username, name or photo?

Open your profile and tap Edit Profile. You can also remove your profile photo there.

How do I turn notifications off?

Go to your iPhone's Settings → Notifications → FastR. You can switch them off entirely or choose how they appear.

Privacy and safety

How do I make my account private?

In Settings, tap Account Privacy and turn on Private Account. Only followers you approve will see your posts and garage.

How do I report or block someone?

Tap ••• on their post or profile and choose Report or Block. Blocked people can't see your profile or posts, and you won't see theirs. You can unblock people in Settings → Blocked Users.

Can other people see where I drive?

No. The GPS recording of each run is visible only to you. Others see your times and speeds, plus your country flag if you choose to show it. More in our Privacy Policy.

Purchases

I bought an upgrade on a new phone and it's missing.

Purchases belong to your Apple ID. Sign in to the App Store with the same Apple ID you bought with, then open FastR. Your purchases are restored automatically.

How do I get a refund?

Apple handles all refunds. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, and choose the FastR purchase.
